THE WAY TO MAKE IT

Xcell 3400

Introduction

New to the Xcell 3400 is the innovative solder head characterized by non-metallic ceramic hold-down pins and non contact closed loop thermal feedback. This feature allows more control over various aspects of the soldering cycle including ramp-up time, set-point temperature, soak time (time at set-point), and cool down delta yielding a dramatic increase in the solder bond consistency and quality. Our innovative spray fluxing method accurately applies just the right amount of flux to the top and/or bottom of the cell for superior soldering results. Ribbon straightness and accuracy is assured by the “advanced patented ribbon control" technique of holding both ends of the ribbon.
Key features:
  • Handles cells from 100 mm x 100 mm to 156 mm x 156 mm both with 2 and 3 ribbons. The Xcell can also handle half cells 156 x 78 mm
  • Strings 600 cells per hour
  • Less contamination of cell with non contact fluxing method
  • Closed loop soldering control
  • Standard cell pre-heating which reduces thermal stresses during soldering.
  • Top-Control operators software with graphical assistance
  • Advanced ribbon control provides superior ribbon alignment – even with badly cambered ribbon!

Function

The Xcell 3400 with its innovative soldering head embodies all of the features which have made our previous stringer machines industry leading products. Firmly rooted in proven technology the Xcell 3400 is the next generation of our automated stringer product line. Capable of processing all traditional mono- and polycrystalline solar cells up to 156 mm², with 2 or 3 busbars and a maximum throughput rate of 600 cells per hour, the Xcell truly is the perfect fit for your cell stringing needs. The compact design allows for a smaller overall factory footprint and can be integrated with any of our standard cell offloading products including direct string transfer to a 1 x 2 m glass.
